Cotton
Our towels, bathrobes and heavier kimonos are made in Turkey – a country with a long tradition of textile production and one of the largest cotton producers in the world. Our light, flowing kimonos come from India, where the craft of working with fine cotton fabrics is just as deeply rooted.
Muslin cotton and block print from Jaipur
Our heavier kimonos from Turkey are made from soft muslin cotton with a crinkle texture and are printed by hand using wooden blocks. Many of our lightweight kimonos from Jaipur feature block print – patterns printed onto the fabric by hand using wooden stamps.
Weave: bubble
Most of our towels, bath mats and bathrobes are made in what is known as bubble weave – small, soft woven nubs that gently absorb water and give the fabric its character. Every piece is made on the loom, guided by people who have known their craft for generations. On the old looms in Denizli, only around 20 pieces are made per loom each day – which is why our hand-woven towels are strictly limited.
What we don't use

- No optical brighteners
- No softeners in the finished product
- No bleach
Why it matters
A towel touches your skin every day. So what's in it matters. We make our pieces based on what our parents taught us early on: honest, soft, kind to the skin.
