Materials

Cotton

All our towels, bathrobes, and kimonos are made from 100% cotton — no polyester, no mixed fibers.

The cotton comes from Turkey, the country where our manufacturing facilities are also located. Depending on the design, we use organic cotton or conventionally grown cotton from the region. We are honest: not all our pieces are organic — but all are made from pure cotton and tested according to strict harmful substance standards.

OEKO-TEX Standard 100

Our fabrics are certified according to OEKO-TEX Standard 100. This means that every component has been tested for harmful substances and found to be harmless. Even for direct skin contact. Even for babies.

Weave: Bubble

Most of our towels, bath mats, and bathrobes are made using the so-called Bubble weave — small, soft woven nubs that gently absorb water and give the fabric its character. Each piece is created on the loom, guided by people who have known their craft for generations.

What we don't use

  • No polyester
  • No microfiber
  • No optical brighteners
  • No plasticizers in the final product
  • No bleaches

Why this is important

A towel touches your skin every day. What's in it, therefore, matters. We make our pieces from what our parents impressed upon us early on: honest, soft, skin-friendly.
